Madonna £12m for two gigs

MADONNA is to sign the most lucrative contracts of her career - playing two gigs in Dubai for £12.5MILLION. The deal brokered by London based Spirit International Artists, puts Madonna firmly at the top of the money mountain for private gigs.

It's the kind of money that makes DAVID BECKHAM look like a YTS boy at LA Galaxy. The Queen Of Pop is finalising negotiations on a deal to finish her forthcoming world tour in the oil-rich Arab state in November. By my calculations, if one of the gigs - for which she will get £7.5million - runs to 90 minutes she will pocket a staggering £83,333 a minute.

That's a pretty impressive pay day by any standards. And if that wasn't enough, she is also in talks to perform at a private party for a mystery punter while she is out there which will earn her another £5million.

If you've got it - flaunt it!

It seems to be the fashion for the super rich to have super stars turn up and perform at their parties, so we called round to find out who charges how much, and what you get for your money.

Well, for a start, if you do not fall in to the super rich bracket, dont even pick up the phone. A private concert from Elton John is going to set you back a cool couple of million, Tina Turner would hop on a plane for £3 million, and if she wasnt busy, it would take the best part of £10 million to tempt Barbra Streisand to cross the Atlantic.

Corporate shows seem to be happening more and more, with people like Il Divo, Anastacia and Liza Minnelli in demand, with fees ranging from £500,000 to a million.

Lionel Richie

It’s been a very busy summer for the London office. First of all, we had Lionel Richie over in Marbella. What a great guy he was. friendly, charming, posed for photographs with all the guests - he was an absolute delight. The crowd loved his show - all the hits and more. It seemed that everyone in the crowd knew every word to every song, and the atmosphere was electric. We cant wait to work with Lionel again.

Liza Minnelli

Liza Minnelli was our next port of call, over in Monte Carlo. What an amazing artist she is. The crowd worshiped her from the moment she came on the stage. Her show now includes a really lovely tribute to her god mother, Kay Thompson, and Liza comes with four great male singers from New York, to treat the crowd to a real New York style revue! Crowd Favourites were Cabaret, Maybe This Time, and of course, New York, New York. Her manager, Gary, was great, and he worked well with all of our team to make sure that Liza’s show was just perfect - and it was!

Harry Connick Jr

We are getting ready for the appearance of Harry Connick Jr in London. He is the ultimate entertainer, and has legions of fans all over the world. Harry’s silky smooth voice placed him as the first and most successful of the swing singers to emerge in the Sinatra style. Watch this space for a full report on his appearance. We are sure it will be just great.

Vanessa Mae

We have worked with this incredible artist several times, and each time it is better than the last. This time, we went out to Jerusalem, in a very historic part of the old city. The venue was incredible, and quite unique. Its an outdoor area, within the walled city, and we created a stage area in the ruins of walls over 2000 years old. Vanessa’s show is fabulous. She bounces all over the stage, with a charm and beauty that leaves you spellbound. All the crowd favourites, including Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, were included. Her violin skills are second to none, and the crowd showed their solid appreciation for this remarkable Artist. Her enthusiasm for her performance, coupled with her talent, and seemingly boundless energy, made for a wonderful show. The clients loved her, and so did we. Till next time!
