Dita Von Teese
Dita Von Teese is a popular American burlesque artist, model and actress. She is one of the instigators of the burlesque revival and has been a considerable factor in bringing burlesque to mainstream attention. Although she mainly focuses on her career as a burlesque artist, she was classically trained as a ballet dancer from an early age and danced solo at age thirteen for a local ballet company. In college Dita studied historic costuming and aspired to work as a stylist for period films. As a result, she can add trained costume designer to her many list of achievements.
